I finally got my new computer 2 days ago and downloaded Skype and Audacity yesterday! I love my new computer with windows 7! No hiccups so far. Now to find some time to record! :D
I shall leave you with a video of an incredibly cute kitten for now.
UPDATE: Kitten removed due to complications with the feed.

New and improved
A few weeks ago my computer died... again. The screen went blank... again. This time around, though, I have been approved to get an exchange for a new computer at Best Buy. The shipment of new laptops with Windows 7 will arrive around Thursday, so I should have my new laptop by then. Depending on what I get, it could come with a built in webcam, mic, and possibly recording software to go with both. If not, I can always look online for maybe a newer version of Audacity or some other open-source freeware. The point is, I will once again be able to record. As of right now, I am typing this all on my mum's computer while she is asleep.
Also, I recently was able to get on Skype and Talkshoe via my psp and cell phone respectively to record an episode (or three) with the guys and gals over at P.C.P. That was loads of fun to do and, I hope you go listen in. It's supposed to be part of the Santeria episode but we recorded for so long that it just might be it's own episode.

The Satyr's Thicket Episode 4- Doing it for Teh Lulz
I'm finally back with a new episode everyone! YAY! In this episode, I discuss why I think the lulz are important in life. Seriousness has it's place, but lulz I think are a tad bit more important as you will hear. I also mention something about Australia and Germany and how they both tie in to something that is very dear to my heart, very important to me. Of course there's the usual shout outs to the Crew of PCP and to Aiden Odinson, host of the Secrets In Plain Sight!

Update
Okay so here's an update. I had recorded part of episode four but I was NOT happy with it. I had decided to redo it at a later date. Well, my computer decided it wanted to fuck up and so now it's in the shop again. I have also gotten very busy with school. I am now taking 5 college courses. I promise you I will have an episode to you all in a few weeks. I am very sorry for this long and unexpected hiatus.

Episode 2- Proactive and Prudent
In this episode I discuss the importance of research and action in the pagan community. I also discuss some books I like.
Something I wanted to add that I didn't say in the episode is that when talking with a stranger about religion, I don't have to worry about what they think AS MUCH as my family. I meant to clarify that.
Also I apologize for the terrible audio. Something happened with audacity and windows and I did the best I did to clean it up. It's passable but not great.

Pagan Woman Denied use of Catholic Venue
The article is located here at stockportexpress.co.uk
I wish there was a way to embed the video on here but right now I know of no way. While I believe that the Diocese had the right to deny this woman and her group of 100 or so people, I also believe it was the wrong thing to do. The Church is dwindling in size, so the last thing it needs is to do everything to effectively end it's relations to those of other religions. Actions such as this only serve to divide us, putting off investigators of the church, and further adding to the disenchantment of those members already on the edge of leaving the church. The church cannot be immovable and immutable in these modern times and survive.

The Death of an Icon
On this day, the 25th of June, 2009, Michael Jackson has died of a cardiac arrest. A loss for the world. Tragic. Think what you may of him, he was a pop icon. He inspired millions to follow in his steps. Ask any person who lived through the 80's who are your idols and almost invariably they will tell you, "Michael Jackson." He will be sorely missed.

The View in the Broom Closet
Right now the only reason I am able to be on this computer and bring to you another post, is because I have not the eyes of another who would see this and immediately ask what I am doing or bring about a dry spell of this blog. I yearn for the day when I can speak to such people freely about certain things and it not come to ill consequence. I always speak the truth but I do not always speak freely. I cannot, at this time, do anything that may jeopardize the relationships around me. Hopefully some day I will be able to converse in free tongue with my family about who and what I am, but as for now, I simply wait. I am a pagan currently in the broom closet. I will simply have to learn in secret and I will continue to share with you my knowledge and opinions. I will try to make a new post at least once a week, but I can't make any promises for the time being.

Some people are assholes. For example: My family and I were driving earlier today to make an appointment when some idiot pulled out of a residential street not looking for oncoming traffic, and not even heeding the stop sign! He pulled out right in front of us and we had to swerve to avoid him. My little sister was riding shotgun. He seriously could have fucking killed her! Every action has a consequence. One mistake could end someone's life. Lesson here:fucking look before you leap!

Technology and the Accessability of Information
Waaaaay back in the early 1980's nobody had ever really heard of the internet. People got their information from, t.v., radio, newspapers, books, and magazines, many of which were not available in certain areas. Once the internet was invented, there was an explosion of information as all these things began to collide and morph into one. My question now is this: Why, in the name of all that is holy, in the name of the series of tubes, does it seem that there are so many IDIOTS on the internet? There are people on the internet who ask questions and dont even bother to use a search engine to do their own research, and when they do, they take the information from the very first link to be fact. Read, people! READ! Use google, ask.com, yahoo, or any other reputable search engine to find the answers you seek and if you can't find online that which you seek, look elsewhere! Read books, magazines, and articles pertaining to the subject of your search. Look for people who may know! Do not be the idiot that does not bother to do the research!
